Tata Motors Launches the All-Electric Harrier.ev with a 627-km Range; Bookings Open July 2
NEW DELHI, June 3, 2025 — Tata Motors officially launched the Harrier.ev, the all-electric variant of its popular SUV, combining off-road capability, high performance and advanced technology for India's growing electric vehicle market. According to a report by Autocar India, the introductory starting price is ₹21.49 lakh, and nationwide bookings open on July 2, 2025. The vehicle is MIDC-certified for a range of up to 627 km on a single charge and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

627-km range and rapid charging
The Tata Harrier.ev is MIDC-certified for a range of up to 627 km, making it suitable for extended road travel. Its fast-charging system can provide up to 250 km of additional range in just 15 minutes.
The SUV is integrated with Mappls Auto EV navigation, which assists drivers in locating nearby charging stations in real time — a practical answer to one of the main concerns of long-distance EV buyers.
Performance and off-road capability
The Harrier.ev accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, placing it among the fastest electric SUVs in its category. It features a dual-motor Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) system that powers all four wheels and includes Drift and Boost modes to enhance driving dynamics.
Six terrain modes for challenging trails
The vehicle is equipped with six terrain modes, including Sand and Rock Crawl, along with a customisable option. An Off-road Assist function offers low-speed cruise control for navigating challenging trails, extending the use of the electric powertrain well beyond city driving.
Pricing and bookings
According to the Autocar India report, the Tata Harrier.ev will carry an introductory starting price of ₹21.49 lakh. Full pricing and variant details will be announced closer to the booking date. Bookings for the Harrier.ev will officially open on July 2, 2025.
Record sales and EV momentum in 2024
The launch builds on a strong year for the company. In calendar year 2024, Tata Motors recorded sales of 600,915 vehicles, a 3.5 per cent increase from 587,713 units in 2023 and the fourth consecutive year of record-high annual sales. During the year the automaker introduced several new models, including the Tata Curvv, Curvv.ev and Punch.ev, strengthening its position in both the electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) segments.
CNG vehicle sales rose 77 per cent, surpassing 120,000 units, while SUV sales climbed 19 per cent, with the Punch alone contributing over 200,000 units to the annual tally. In December 2024, Tata briefly secured the second spot in monthly sales rankings by delivering 44,289 units, up 1 per cent year on year.
