Poliplast Group to Launch Russia's First Epoxy Resin Production at Its Khrompik Facility in Pervouralsk
YEKATERINBURG, 7 July 2025 — Poliplast Group, a Russian producer of proprietary chemical products, is preparing to launch Russia's first domestic epoxy resin production at its Khrompik facility in Pervouralsk, Sverdlovsk Region, by early 2026. The project is part of a production expansion programme worth more than 60 billion rubles and is being implemented with the support of the Industry and Trade Ministry. Today, one hundred percent of the country's epoxy resin demand is covered by imports.

Russia's first epoxy resin production
The announcement was made by Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Mikhail Yurin during the Innoprom-2025 international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg, at the thematic session "The Role of New Materials and Chemistry in Enhancing Industrial Competitiveness".
"Here in the Sverdlovsk region, we hope that we will have domestic epoxy resin production in Russia by the first quarter of next year. One hundred percent of it currently comes to us through imports," Yurin said. Speaking on the exhibition's sidelines, he confirmed to Interfax that the project refers to Poliplast's facility in Pervouralsk, without specifying the exact production start date.
Expansion at the Khrompik facility
In spring 2025, Poliplast Group began a production expansion project at its Khrompik facility — one of Russia's largest producers of chromium compounds — in Pervouralsk. The project is worth more than 60 billion rubles. In May 2025, the company launched a new drying section in its calcium-free sodium monochromate production workshop.
