The center is a modern warehouse complex for storing and preparing seed material; the stores are equipped with modern intake and sorting lines. Regional and federal significance

In this regard the project is of paramount importance both at the regional and at the federal level. Investment exceeded 3 billion rubles. 160 new jobs will be created. Elite seed potato output will reach up to 15,000 tonnes a year," Oryol Region Governor Andrey Klychkov said at the opening ceremony, as quoted by the press service.

The company's position

"Launching the potato breeding and seed center in Oryol Region is a strategic step towards strengthening the country's food security. In partnership with the state we are creating a fully closed loop that will not only supply raw material to our new processing plant, but also offer high-quality seed material to Russian farmers, reducing dependence on imports. Our shared goal with the Oryol Region government is full import substitution of seed material for key crops and access to exports," Viktor Linnik said at the ceremony.
